Answer: They’re both criminals running Ponzi schemes!
Do you remember why Bernie Madoff went to prison?
Quite simply, he took people’s money people, promising them future wealth. Trouble was, he didn’t invest their money. When it came time to pay off the original investors, he simply took the money from new investors to pay off the old ones.
But, eventually, there were too many investors and not enough new money coming in to keep everybody happy.
The investors were furious … Bernie Madoff became one of the most hated men in America; and off he goes to jail.
In reality, Bernie Madoff did to his investors what the government has been doing to us for over 70 years with Social Security!
There is no meaningful difference between the two schemes, except that one was operated by a private individual who is now in jail, while the other is operated by politicians who, despite their actions, continue to enjoy perks, privileges and status.
Maybe this side-by-side comparison will clarify things…

BERNIE MADOFF
SOCIAL SECURITY
Takes money from investors with the promise that the money will be invested and made available to them later.
Takes money from wage earners with the promise that the money will be invested in a “Trust Fund” and made available to them later.
Instead of investing the money Madoff spends it on nice homes in the Hamptons and yachts.
Instead of depositing our money in a Trust Fund, the politicians use it for general spending, vote buying and to fund their own pensions and perks.
When the time comes to pay back investors, Madoff simply uses the new funds from newer investors to pay the older investors.
When benefits for older investors become due, the politicians pay them with money taken from younger and newer wage earners to pay the retirees.
When Madoff’s scheme is discovered all hell breaks loose. New investors won’t give him any more cash.
When Social Security runs out of money, they start importing millions of illegal aliens in the hope this will keep the Ponzi scheme running a few more years.
Bernie Madoff is in jail.
Politicians should be in jail, but remain in Washington.
