Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals Denies Arizona Appeal on S.B.1070

Activist judges on the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals denied Arizona’s appeal on SB 1070, the amendment that allows local law enforcement to do the job that the federal government refuses to do — crack down on illegal immigration.

In overturning a law that Arizonans support by a huge margin, the Judges cited the opposition of anti-American dictators from Bolivia, Cuba, and Venezuela, the United Nations and the Mexican Government as justification of their ruling.

Since when did federal judges at the Court of Appeals change their policy to base their legal decisions on the opinions of other nations rather than the U.S. Constitution?  This is appalling!

Arizona has pledged to keep fighting for their right to protect the people of Arizona.  They will take the battle all the way up to the Supreme Court … and U.S. Border Control will stand with them, providing our legal expertise.

More than 26,700 Saudi students entered U.S. in 2010

U.S. VisaThere were numerous warnings that a generous Saudi immigration program had the potential to bring more terrorists into the country. Yet our government brokered a deal with the Saudi king to provide thousands of student visas.

Khalid Aldawsari, charged in a plot to bomb U.S. targets, entered the country in 2008 under the same student visa deal. The 20-year old Saudi college student was recently arrested in Lubbock, Texas for allegedly plotting to bomb the residence of former president George W. Bush, as well as nuclear power plants and several other sites.

There were 15 Saudis amongst the 9/11 terrorist bombers. One of the reasons they were successful was that the U.S. embassy in Saudi Arabia rubber stamped their U.S. visas for them. Yet, in 2005, Bush agreed to a request from the Saudi king to expedite visas for young Saudi men studying in the our country. He believed this would mend U.S.-Saudi relations, ignoring the fact that Riyadh continues to teach their youth anti-American hate and that they sponsor al-Qaida terror.

As part of the ill-advised immigration deal, Saudi Arabia over the next four years sent 21,000 students to the country they have grown up hating. If only 1% of the new crop of Saudi students are radical, that’s 210 new potential terrorists inside our borders. In 2008, the administration increased the risk by inviting as many as 30,000 more Saudi students over a five year period.

Aldawsari was one of more than 10,000 Saudi students granted visas under the expanded program in 2008. The FBI says he planned to attack the U.S. when he applied for the special visa, which expires in 2014.

The “financial scholarship is the largest,” Aldawsari wrote in his diary, “which will help tremendously in providing me with the support I need for Jihad, Allah willing.”

Far from benefiting from any supposed “cultural exchange,” Aldawsari spent his three years in the U.S.:

  • Obtaining bomb-making equipment and a Hazmat suit.
  • Casing bombing targets across the country, including Dallas night clubs and New York City buildings.
  • Renting cars to hide bombs in.
  • Trying to obtain a forged a U.S. birth certificate and passport.
  • Studying how to conceal explosives in realistic-looking dolls tucked into strollers.

He did all of this under the radar of the FBI and Homeland Security, which didn’t even notice he no longer attended the college he cited on his visa forms. If it weren’t for an alert freight company — which tipped off authorities after returning a suspicious shipment of explosive chemicals bound for Aldawsari — he might have hit his targets. In fact, his plan was in the advanced stages. Federal agents caught up with him only in early February.

In other words, the FBI got lucky!

More than 26,700 Saudi students got U.S. visas in 2010 – up from 6,800 in 2001. How many other Saudis like Aldawsari are out there casing targets and plotting attacks? How many will overstay their visas and become sleeper agents?

Aldawsari may not have acted alone. He appeared to e-mail at least one other Arab man about his plans. ”One operation in the land of infidels is equal to 10 operations against occupying forces in the land of the Muslims,” he wrote. “Therefore, it’s incumbent upon Muslims to conquer infidels in their land.”

President Obama has broadened these suicidal immigration policies. The State Department has resettled more than 82,000 Somali refugees over the past decade. Last year, more than 1,760 arrived, despite FBI warnings that young Somali-American men are joining al-Qaida.

Who will be held accountable when these programs backfire on innocent Americans again?

NY Rep. Pete King Begins Hearings into Radical Islam

Rep. Pete King, R-N.Y.:
“The overwhelming majority of Muslims are outstanding Americans, but at this stage in our history there’s an effort … to radicalize elements within the Muslim community.”

“It’s there and that’s where the threat is coming from at this time. I don’t believe there is sufficient cooperation” by American Muslims with law enforcement. “Certainly my dealings with the police in New York and FBI and others say they do not believe they get the same — they do not give the level of cooperation that they need.”

Congressional Hearings Highlight the Threat of Muslim Radicalization

AP, NEW YORK — March 7, 2011

Although the White House recently praised American Muslims for helping fight violent extremism, a House leader on terrorism issues said they aren’t cooperating enough with law enforcement to counter the radicalization of young followers by al-Qaida-linked groups.

Deputy National Security Adviser Denis McDonough, speaking at an interfaith forum at a Northern Virginia mosque, commended its members for taking “an unequivocal stand against terrorism.”

“You’ve sent a message that those who perpetrate such horrific attacks do not represent you or your faith, and that they will not succeed in pitting believers of different faiths against one another,” McDonough said.

This shows how blind the White House is to the threat of radical Islamism and al-Qaida’s push to recruit.

House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y. is to testify on Capitol Hill

Meanwhile,  Rep. Peter King, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, re-asserts his warnings about al-Qaida terrorists targeting Muslim youth in this country.

“The overwhelming majority of Muslims are outstanding Americans, but at this stage in our history there’s an effort… to radicalize elements within the Muslim community,” he said in a preview of his upcoming hearing on the extent of the problem and the Muslim community’s response.

“It’s there and that’s where the threat is coming from at this time,” King said in an interview broadcast.

“I don’t believe there is sufficient cooperation” by American Muslims with law enforcement, King said. “Certainly my dealings with the police in New York and FBI and others say they do not believe they get the same — they do not give the level of cooperation that they need.”

The administration has tried to strike a balance on the thorny issue, working to go after homegrown Islamic extremists without appearing to be at war with the Muslim world. There has been an effort to build stronger relationships with Muslims — internationally and with Islamic leaders in the United States.

You see, America?

This is what happens when our leaders care more about political correctness than protecting our nation.

Representative Peter King is just the kind of courageous man America needs – willing to put his career on the line to keep Americans safe.

And, hopefully, his Congressional hearings will bring to light  the reality of radical Islamism.

BEST OF ALL:
 Rep. King intends to call, almost exclusively, American Muslims to testify.  He wants to shed light on the imams who try to sway their congregations to intentionally withhold information from U.S. law enforcement, and who support clandestine, organized efforts to radicalize elements within the Muslim communities.

You can speak up, too!

Send an email to your Representative and urge them to put aside petty partisanship and political correctness, support these hearings, and get serious about the clear and present danger posed by radical Islam – just like all European nations are now trying to do, only several years too late.

Congress, don’t let the blood from the next attack on America be on your hands!

Florida Tea Party Activists Demand Action on E-Verify

A tea party crowd on the steps of the old capitol greeted state Senate President Mike Haridopolos, R-Merritt Island, with chants of “E-Verify, E-Verify” today.

Haridopolos did not disappoint, telling the crowd he wanted to “verify” that the employee-screening measure would be part of the Senate’s immigration-enforcement package.

House Speaker Dean Cannon, R-Winter Park, said yesterday that his chamber would propose a bill requiring E-Verify for all public employers starting in 2012, and for all private companies with more than 100 employees in 2013.

It sounds good … but it’s not nearly good enough. There is absolutely no reason why E-Verify cannot begin at once, not 2-3 years down the road.

E-verify is not a new invention. It is an ongoing federal program that is a proven success. Right now, it is voluntary to all employers. All that is necessary to implement the program is for employees to sign up.

What the Florida legislature needs to do is to tell all Florida employers that, upon passage of the bill, they are required to sign up and begin using the program. Period.

And what’s the reason for limiting it to employers of 100 or more. It’s the honest small businessman who is having trouble competing with criminal employers who hire illegals. Provisions need to be made for smaller business and those who outsource to be brought into the employer verification model.

Tea Party Activists: you’ve got the hammer! You don’t need to settle for halfway measures that sound good but accomplish nothing. Tell them you want implementation now, before more honest employers are forced out of business by their criminal competitors … and more Americans lose their jobs to illegal aliens.

CAIR Attacks Florida Legislation as “anti-Sharia

A Florida legislator, Sen. Alan Hays, R-Umatilla, filed a bill, SB1294, to stipulate that only American laws will be permitted in Florida courts.  The law is similar to state legislation introduced in Oklahoma and other states trying to protect the rights of their citizens from the use of foreign laws, including Islamic Sharia law, which permit behavior that this nation has long forbidden.

Of course, the ever-present and well-funded Council on American-Islamic Relataions (CAIR) immediately attacked the bill as being an attack on Islam and teh bill’s author as being out of touch with his constituents.

Americans are justifiably proud of our laws, especially our U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.  Why would we want to allow laws, let’s say, from the United Nations, some banana Republic or some foreign fanatical religion,  to be used in American courts to justify ritual killings, genital mutilation or the right of husbands to rape ands beat their wives?

It’s makes no sense, but there are plenty of politically-correct, bleeding heart newspapers that are giving groups like CAIR and their spokesmen plenty of ink to attack anyone that threatens the spread of Islam in America.

Nezar Hamze, executive director of the South Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), thinks Senator Hays is out of touch with his constituents.  Do you?  Or is it Hamze who is out of touch?

Where do you stand?  We stand with Florida and our U.S. Constitution.  Foreign laws belong in foreign countries … not here. 

I like our Bill of Rights.  I like our freedoms, including the right of any American who prefers Islamic laws and customs to American laws and customs to pack their bags and find a country that practices Sharia law … because it’s not going to happen here!

The New Kind of Immigrant

A look at our history books tell us why today’s American should not be willing to accept the new kind of immigrant any longer.

Back in 1900 when there was a rush from all areas of Europe to come to the United States, people had to get off a ship and stand in a long line in New York and be documented.

Some would even get down on their hands and knees and kiss the ground. They made a pledge to uphold the laws and support their new country in good and bad times. They made learning English a primary rule in their new American households and some even changed their names to blend in with their new home.

They had waved goodbye to their birth place to give their children a new life and did everything in their power to help their children assimilate into one culture. Nothing was handed to them. No free lunches, no welfare, no labor laws to protect them. All they had were the skills and craftsmanship they had brought with them to trade for a future of prosperity.

Most of their children came of age when World War II broke out. Our fathers fought along side men whose parents had come straight over from Germany, Italy, France and Japan. None of these 1st generation Americans ever gave any thought about what country their parents had come from. They were Americans fighting Hitler, Mussolini and the Emperor of Japan. They were defending the United States of America as one people.

When we liberated France, no one in those villages were looking for the French American, the German American or the Irish American. The people of France saw only Americans. And we carried one flag that represented one country. Not one of those immigrant sons would have thought about picking up another country’s flag and waving it to represent who they were. It would have been a disgrace to their parents who had sacrificed so much to be here. These immigrants truly knew what it meant to be an American. They stirred the melting pot into one red, white and blue bowl.

And now here we are with the new kind of immigrant who wants the same rights and privileges. Only they want to achieve it by playing with a different set of rules, one that includes the entitlement card and a guarantee of being faithful to their mother country. That’s not what being an American is all about. True Americans are loyal only to America!

The immigrants who landed on Ellis Island in the early 1900′s deserve better than that for all the toil, hard work and sacrifice in raising future generations to create a land that has become a beacon for those legally searching for a better life.

For the wrong things to prevail, the rightful majority needs to remain complacent and quiet.

Worst Casualty of the 9/11 Terrorist Attack?

What was the worst casualty following the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center? 

 It was the 1st, 4th, 6th, 8th and 10th amendments of the Bill of Rights.

 They are the freedoms that used to be guaranteed by your Constitution: freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, freedom from unreasonable searches and seizures; the right to a speedy public trial, without cruel and unusual punishment, and leaving those powers, not specifically delegated to the federal government by the Constitution, with the states.

 All of the above are now threatened, thanks to fear mongers in our government who pushed through the so-called “Patriot Act” that was nothing more than your federal government grabbing more power for itself, quite literally suspending your Constitutional rights, explaining that it needed these powers in order to keep you safe. 

Oldest trick in the book. 

Every tyrant has used it.  Hitler used it to protect the Germans from the Bolsheviks.  He created a fake crisis by burning down the Reichstag Building that housed the German Parliament and blamed it on the Communists.  It terrified the people who immediately signed off on his version of the patriot act.

In the immortal words of wisdom from Benjamin Franklin,

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty or safety.  Nor, are they likely to end up with either.

Copies of the Constitution are available everywhere for under a buck.  Buy several; sit down with your kids and grandkids; tell them a little about how and why this country was formed. And then give them this book; tell them it is the most important document ever conceived by man in the entire history of the world because it created a perfect form of government.

Hypocrites Strut Their Stuff

Democrats say GOP budget cuts                  jeopardize border security!

After watching Republicans use immigration to attack their priorities for the past two years, Democrats are turning the table, saying congressional Republicans’ spending-cuts bill would slice money from border fencing and could scuttle much of President Obama’s Border Patrol surge.

Led by Sen. Charles Schumer, radical liberal and open borders advocate from New York, the Dems charged this week that the Republicans’ 2011 spending bill that the House passed early Saturday will cut the Border Patrol force by more than 800 agents and take $272 million of fencing and other infrastructure at a time when border violence is on the rise.

“Simply put, cuts of this magnitude will be devastating to our security and our economy,” Mr. Schumer and two colleagues wrote in a letter to House leaders. “They will render us unable to secure our borders and, even worse, will reverse the progress Congress has made in reducing the flow of illegal immigration, guns, and drugs along our border.”

Republicans said Schumer was misreading the numbers and that they include enough spending to pay for the full 21,370 agents while setting an absolute low of 20,500 agents.

“The assertion that our bill is weak on border security is simply wrong,” said Rep. Bob Alderhold, Alabama Republican and chairman of the spending subcommittee that oversees border funding.  “If anyone looks at the funding priorities, they will see that we put money into securing the border.”

Of course, the sad truth is that neither the Republicans, when they controlled the White House and the Congress, nor the Democrats under President Obama, have taken the steps necessary to close the borders to drug smugglers, terrorists or illegal aliens.  And neither party has done anything to cut benefits to illegal aliens or punish employers who hire them.

So who’s the real hypocrite … all of them!  And that is why we celebrate those elected officials with the courage to ignore their party’s “leadership” and choose, instead, to serve the interests of the people.
