If you think the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are bankrupting us, wait until you see what illegal immigration costs!

While it is true that fighting wars on two continents is frighteningly expensive, the costs of illegal immigration are almost as large. It is difficult to be very accurate since our government no longer shares information that it is uncomfortable discussing. 

The following numbers have been compiled from a number of reliable sources, including the government’s own data, research organizations and media sources.

If you are shocked by these numbers, please forward this to as many people as you can.  This insanity has to stop now.

1. $11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each year by state governments.  
 
2. $2.2 Billion dollars a year is spent on food assistance programs such as food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches for illegal aliens.
 
3. $2.5 Billion dollars a year is spent on Medicaid for illegal aliens.
 
4. $30 Billion dollars a year is spent on primary and secondary school education for children here illegally and they cannot speak a word of English! (The government calls these programs “bilingual” even though not a word of English is spoken, all the text books are in Spanish and no attempt is made to teach the children English.
  
5. 30% percent of all Federal Prison inmates are illegal aliens.  $3 Million Dollars a DAY is spent to incarcerate illegal aliens.
 
6.  $90 Billion Dollars a year is spent on illegal aliens for Welfare & social services by the American taxpayers.
 
7.  $200 Billion dollars a year in suppressed American wages are caused by the illegal aliens.
 
8.  In 2006 illegal aliens sent home $45 BILLION in remittances to their countries of origin.
 
The total cost is a whopping $320.8 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR — $320,800,000,000.00 easily enough to put Americans back to work and our economy back on track. 

Yes, if we got rid of every single illegal, the cost of lettuce just might go up.  But the cost of everything else, from education, healthcare, welfare, all social services, law enforcement and prisons would fall dramatically. 

And Americans would be safer, healthier, happier and live longer.  I think we can survive just fine without illegal aliens.  What do you think?

Why is pro-amnesty Senator Lindsay Graham suddenly pushing to rewrite the 14th amendment to end instant citizenship for the 600-800,000 illegal aliens babies born the USA annually!  

For the record, this is not a new issue.  Looking into our own archives, we found a 2004 article documenting that 300,000 illegal alien babies were being granted citizenship each year back then!

Over the past 20 years, U.S. Border Control worked with a small but courageous group of Congressmen who managed to introduce and support legislation and Constitutional Amendments to restore this flaw in our nation’s immigration policy to what the authors of the 14th Amendment had intended. 

And year after year, the same 40-50 thoughtful members of Congress worked hard to find more supporters among their colleagues.  But Senators like Graham and McCain were not among them. They were sipping champagne with Ted Kennedy and looking down their noses at we, the people while dreaming of being reelected for life by the millions of illegal aliens they allowed to become citizens.

Early on in this effort, Border Control abandoned the Constitutional amendment route because (a) it would be much harder to pass and (b) take years to accomplish.  The simple solution was to pass one of the many bills that have been introduced by Congressmen Ron Paul, Gary Miller, Nathan Deal, Elton Gallegly and many others … and then wait for LaRaza or some other radical pro-Hispanic group to drag it up to the Supreme Court where, hopefully, common sense might again prevail.

I believe that Senator Graham, like John McCain, is still a strong advocate for open borders and amnesty for illegal aliens and he has rasied this issue to poison the water for against passing legislation to stop the granting of citizneship to the offspring of illegal aliens.

A top Department of Homeland Security official reportedly said his agency will not necessarily process illegal immigrants referred to them by Arizona authorities.

John Morton, assistant secretary of homeland security for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, made the comment during a meeting on Wednesday with the editorial board of the Chicago Tribune, the newspaper reports.

“I don’t think the Arizona law, or laws like it, are the solution,” Morton told the newspaper.

The best way to reduce illegal immigration is through a comprehensive federal approach, he said, and not a patchwork of state laws.

In response to Morton’s comments, DHS officials said President Obama has ordered the Department of Justice to examine the civil rights and other implications of the law.

“That review will inform the government’s actions going forward,” DHS spokesman Matt Chandler

Immigration & Customs Enforcement Union takes a no-confidence vote on its leadership

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents believe overwhelmingly that their department leadership has become so politicized as to compromise the effectiveness of ICE and the safety of American people.

Their union has released a letter announcing its recent unanimous “vote of no confidence” in ICE agency heads, accusing them of “misleading the American public” regarding illegal immigration in order to further a pro-amnesty agenda.

In June, the National Immigration and Customs Enforcement Council — an AFL-CIO affiliate — and affiliated local councils cast a unanimous 259-0 vote of no confidence in ICE Director John Morton and Assistant Director Phyllis Coven.

In a letter announcing the vote, the National Council criticized the directors for “misguided and reckless initiatives,” and said their leaders have “abandoned the Agency’s core mission of enforcing United States immigration laws and providing for public safety, and have instead directed their attention to campaigning for policies and programs related to amnesty.”

Still believe DHS Secretary Napolitano when she tells us our borders are safe and Secure?  Wake up America while there is still time to save our country!

Our government has never seriously attempted to seal our borders to drugs, disease, illegal aliens (like the darlings in this photo) and terrorists.

Arizona is a beautiful state with national forests and pristine wilderness.  It is a favorite destination for tourists and retirees.  But recently, we have seen its forests burnt by the campfires of illegal aliens, its pristine wilderness buried in garbage and human waste by these same people; its farms ransacked; livestock butchered; and its citizens murdered and kidnapped.

After waiting, impatiently, for many years, for the federal government to close the borders and take action to remove those illegally present, Arizona passed a law, SB1070, a bill that mirrors what most other states and the federal government claim as their policy for dealing with illegal aliens that are discovered by law enforcement officers in the normal course of their duties.

But instead of thanking Arizona for their assistance in dealing with this problem, our federal government chose to sue them for doing the work that they had failed to do, claiming that this duty was the exclusive obligation of the federal government, even if that government chooses to ignore its obligation!

In a clearly orchestrated move, some of the old time civil rights activists, yearning for one more chance to garner headlines, or, perhaps, lead a protest march, decided to turn Arizona’s effort to protect its citizens into a Civil Rights circus complete with marchers, protest rallies, etc…

The big question is why?  Why sue Arizona?  Won’t it just dramatize Washington’s failure to do its job … and encourage the people to throw more Congressmen out of office?

On the contrary, their plan is to use Arizona’s suffering as proof that immigration reform needs to happen immediately!  Unfortunately, the government’s version of immigration reform has little or nothing to do with closing the borders and everything to do with AMNESTY.

Rumors abound that President Obama, who learned quickly how to use (or misuse) executive authority, plans to use this crisis to grant amnesty (albeit by another name) using his own executive authority, sparing his beleaguered fellow Democrats from a recorded vote on this flash point issue.

Some say, he is working with the organizations like La Raza, MALDEF and other racist groups to incite violent riots and mass demonstrations by illegal aliens, giving the President even more justification for taking extraordinary measures such as granting amnesty/citizenship/voting rights to as many as 30 million illegal aliens, “in order to keep the peace and save American lives and property.”

Couldn’t happen here?  We are a nation of laws?  Tell that to the Germans who were around when Hitler’s thugs burned the Reichstag building and blamed it on communists so the government could  pass an emergency decree giving Hitler total authority.  Germany’s Constitution was thrown out the window; civil liberties were suspended; the NAZI party was born … and the rest is history.

Far fetched?  Is it more far fetched that this nation electing a relatively unknown, inexperienced, freshman Senator with a terrible voting record whose only campaign promise was “change”?

La Raza is using its political muscle to force the 2011 All-Star game out of Phoenix!  The most racist of all the open borders, pro-immigration groups has created a web page and is encouraging its supporters to click on and send their pre-written letter to Bud Selig, Major League Baseball Commissioner.

  Bud is a good man but he is under terrific pressure from the groups like La Raza and all the political correctness people who know nothing at all (and care nothing at all) about Arizona’s struggle to protect is citizens while enforcing the laws of the state and the nation.

This morning, at the suggestion of Stuart Hurlbert who heads a coalition of groups defending Arizona and launching counter-boycotts against states and municipalities attacking Arizona, I clicked on La Raza’s link and overwrote their letter, offering my point of view (see below).  I encourage you to do the same thing and tell your friends to join you.

my letter –

Dear Mr. Selig:

I am writing to ask you to KEEP the 2011 Major League Baseball (MLB) All-Star Game in Phoenix, Arizona.

It has now been confirmed that just about every state in the nation has a law identical to Arizona’s SB1070 – even California. 

Arizona is a frontline state as far as illegal immigration is concerned.  It is crowded with illegal aliens; its prison population is jambed full of criminal aliens.  Boycotts by leftist organizations and simpering liberals have hurt Arizona’s economy.  Pulling out the All-Star game would be a terrible blow to this state … and to baseball fans who would be outraged by the decision.

Our legal staff has studied SB 1070 and there is nothing in this bill that has anything to do with profiling, racism, etc… Even the Justice Department knows it, for when they brought their suit, there was not a single charge in it concerning such issues.  It was all about state’s rights vs. federal preemption.

Please join with the 80% of baseball’s fans and do the right thing – Stand with Arizona.

Mexican Officials Say They Can’t (or Won’t) Confirm Arrest of Hezbollah Operative on Border.   CLOSE THE BORDERS NOW!!!!

 Officials in the U.S. and Mexico are unable or unwilling to confirm a widely-circulating report out of Kuwait that a Hezbollah leader has been arrested in Mexico.   A Kuwaiti newspaper reported last week that Hezbollah operatives had employed Mexican nationals with ties to Lebanon to set up a network designed to target Israel and the West.  The report stated that the group’s leader, Jameel Nasr, had been arrested in Tijuana.

According to the report, authorities in Mexico conducted a surveillance operation on Nasr, who traveled frequently to Lebanon to receive instructions from Hezbollah militants. Nasr — who was said to be living in Tijuana at the time of his reported arrest — made frequent trips to other countries in Latin America, including a two-month stay in Venezuela in 2008.

Attempts to confirm that an arrest had taken place were unsuccessful.  Police officials in Tijuana said they had no information pertaining to Nasr and Mexican embassy officials in Washington refused to comment. 

The Department of Homeland Security said it does not have “any credible information” that terrorist groups are operating along America’s Southwest border.

Two weeks before Nasr’s reported arrest, U.S. Rep. Sue Myrick, R-N.C., had asked Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano for more “intelligence gathering” on Hezbollah’s presence along the U.S.-Mexico border and requested a task force be created to evaluate the terror network’s presence, activities and connections to drug cartels.

The congresswoman also noted that officials in Southwestern states have begun noticing tattoos of gang members in prison that are written in Farsi. Rep. Myrick told Napolitano “We have typically seen tattoos in Arabic, but Farsi implies a Persian influence that can likely be traced back to Iran and its proxy army, Hezbollah,” 

Tattoos in Farsi are almost always seen in combination with gang or drug cartel tattoos. These combinations have been increasing in number and would seem to add credibility that terrorist groups like Hezbollah have formed a working relationship with the drug cartels operating on our southern border, giving the terrorists instant access to the U.S. 

According to the letter Rep Myrick sent to Secy Napolitano, the drug cartels and Hezbollah operatives have been partnering along the U.S-Mexico border in part due to Hezbollah’s experience in the rugged terrain along the border.  ”This terrain is very much like the areas around Israel’s borders,” the letter continued. “As we well know, Hezbollah is extremely skilled in the construction of tunnels.  Israel has time and again found Hezbollah tunnels leading into Israel, some of which are large enough to accommodate trucks.”

  Intelligence officials say that the drug cartels, in an effort to dig larger and more effective tunnels, are employing the expertise of Hezbollah.  We can only imagine what Hezbollah is getting in return. 

Nevertheless, and despite the arrests, by Border Patrol officers, of multiple foreign nationals from Arab countries.  And despite the fact that Islamic prayer blankets and copies of the Koran are often found along the smuggling routes, the agency tasked with keeping America safe,  Homeland Security, insists that it does not have any “credible information” on terrorist groups operating along the border.
